Just coming back from seeing My Sisters Keeper and I have to say that this is the best role ever by Cameron Diaz. Seriously, regardless of how you feel about the overall movie, her name deserves to be put in discussion for an Oscar nomination. And Abigail Breslin is totally believable in her role as well. Like I said, they should at least be in the discussion. Oh yeah, I was really moved by the movie too.

I have heard great things about Diaz's performance from friends and fellow film buffs. I have yet to see the film but plan on seeing it this weekend. Unfortunantly Diaz is not very liked by AMPAS. She has had two legitimate chances at a nod before (Vanilla Sky, and Being John Malkovich) for which she earned Golden Globe and SAG nods for both. I think she has a legitimate chance at a Globe nod but I would be very surprised if this performance makes it all the way to the Oscars.

Golden Globes is very realistic. Just proves that she has it in her to be a good actress, she just chooses to do a lot of fluff and not challenge herself. She does great work in MSK.
