"Too much action" in Shutter Island?

For anyone who has read the book or knows the story very well, you know that Shutter Island is not anything like an action-driven drama. Yes there are some fantastical elements and some good action but it is not action-driven in any way. Just being written by Dennis Lehane (the guy who wrote Mystic River) should show that it has more merit and lots of character development than usual action dramas.

After that trailer, I would put Shutter Island in the top 5. I would replace it with Precious becuase I don't think it is a real top5 contender (maybe top 10).

Any thoughts?

There is relatively no action at all...I agree that it should be ahead of Precious due to the new 10 rule, before when it was only 5 it was a strong contender but not like a surefire one, now that there are more slots I think it has a really really good chance of being nominated more so then Precious which I think will hit hard and well or not at all. Whereas Shutter Island and Up and other films like those which will be great films but aren't necessarily "Oscar" have a much better shot at a nod now due to the change to 10.
