| Hands down the best performance in the film. Depp, Cotillard, Bale, and Crudup were good, but I really enjoyed watching Lang. Might be this years Michael Shannon. |

I thought Lang did make the best of what little screentime he had, but it was very little I think he, Ribisi and Crudup probably had the best performances of the film all scene stealing but as I said way too limited, I think Bale and Depp were both only eh but as I've stated before I think that Cotillard stole the show as she was the only character with a good amount of screentime who I actually cared about, I think the films biggest fault was that it didnt develop the potentially interesting characters at all, Cotillard and the 3 aforementioned actors were the only ones who had actual characters but the Lang, Crudup and Ribisi has virtually no screentime to go with that development, Cotillard did have a fully fledged character that I cared about and I thought the interrogation scene with her was the best scene in the film. Really emotionally impacting | |
