I just want to say that Paranormal Activity was GREAT. Super suspenseful and with some real jump moments. The bulid up is great and the payoff is fantastic in every night scene (as well as some in the day). As soon as the camera turns to night the 50+ people and me in theatre started cring and saying stuff like "O sh*t whats gonna happen now?"
Beofre the inevitible backlash I think that this was actually really scary and with so many "horror" films out today that is really saying something
Has anyone else seen this or have any thoughts?

I was surprised with it but DAMN them for showing the end of the movie in the trailer. I hate when trailers do this. Granted, I was still on the edge of my seat in the last 10 minutes but it sucked that I knew what was going to happen because the brilliant marketing minds thought it would be a good idea to include pretty much the biggest shock or jump in the freaking trailer.
But all in all, I thought it was good. The scenes inbetween the sleeping was..meh, give or take. Most of the time when the film is shot hand held the acting just seems...laughable. Cloverfield, REC, Quarantine, all the same. But that didn't keep me from not enjoying all of those films and it didn't keep me from not enjoying this one. The suspense was good and my theater was BUMPIN' in the last 10 minutes. It was pretty cool hearing the fear of those around you...then again I may just be sick.
