I,ve had one or two give me the impression that they think Equifun includes 'handy pony' challenges such as walking over blue sheeting or under umbrellas that their mounts would never be able to do. Far from it!!!
The 'obstacles' are fairly similar to TREC with such things as bending poles, a small jump,immobility,labrynth, narrow channel of poles, figure 8 drums and a simple animal pen. The competition ran beautifully under the Maskell family and very few problems were encountered on the course. The idea of the competition is to complete the course rather like a 'dressage test with obstacles'- a mark is given for the way in which obstacle is completed and competitors will receive a scoresheet with helpful comments.
