new reference guide on air guns, etc.
by DuckGuy
Has anyone heard anything about this new gun guide, Firearms Multimedia Guide? Its supposed to be a computer searchable guide on DVD. Its a bit pricey for me, so Id like to hear any comments from you before I buy it. I checked out the videos on their website, but I still wanna hear from someone that bought it!

I just recently bought a Benjamin Model 300 air rifle. It has most of the original finish worn down to the brass and it won't pump. when you pull the pump rod out, you have to almost force it to go back in or wait for the air pressure to flow out to let the rod go back in.
I'm curious if anyone would know if this might be an easy problem to fix, and what the history of hte model 300 is? I can find lots of info on the 310 and 312 but not the 300.

I am working with NewMatics for the launch & am happy to inform you guys that next week our CEO is going to Pyramyd Airgun Mall to set up sales of the PM16.
I am told that production is starting in a couple weeks.
The PM16 has been an internet airgun "myth" for nearly a decade now, since Defense Review & Tom Gaylord did reviews for NewMatics way back when.
If you wish to subscribe to email updates for the PM16, or have questions, please email me at: pm16@gmx.com
Off to another forum now to spread the word, thanks for your time!

I'm selling my Beeman kodiak in .25 cal for $400. or $475. with a RWS 4x32 model 300 airgun scope mounted and ready to go. It's 900 fps and one of the most powerful airguns you'll fire. It's in excellent condition, about 95% of new. I've owned it since new and rarely used it.

Hello, I have on old Beeman R1 air rifle that I can't get to cock. The spring and cylinder move back and cause the trigger catch to move slightly, it just won't set. It feels like it just needs to move back a little more and it would catch. Is there some way to adjust this? If I push down on the catch lightly with a screwdriver it's fully cocked and operates well, it just won't set on its own. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im looking for an accurate air gun. When I was a kid I had a Crossman® air gun that was the best. I could maintain a consistent pattern inside a bottle cap at thirty yards with an iron sight (back when I could see a bottle cap at thirty yards). I dont remember the model number of the Crossman® but it was an inexpensive weapon that I picked up at the local Wal-Mart with my lawn mowing money. That Crossman® has been gone for years now and I would like to replace it.
My target medium will be mostly paper targets, aluminum cans and plastic bottles; hard candies and the occasional Bic® lighter make interesting targets as well. In my back yard I have about twenty to thirty yards of available space. My parents have a little more space with as much as seventy-five or eighty yards at my disposal.
I definitely want to use BBs over pellets as they are cheaper and recyclable. I have never used a break-barrel but would not be opposed to it. The old Crossman® that I used was a ten-pump. Im not so interested in CO2 because I want to keep cost of use as low as possible. I do not want a scope as I feel a scope on a BB gun is for people who cant see or cant shoot.
I am looking to spend around $80 to $100. I know that isnt much to some of you serious enthusiasts but Im on a pretty tight budget these days. Im willing to go as high as $125 if the accuracy and quality of the weapon justifies. Im not against purchasing from a Wal-Mart, K-Mart or some other chain store but I also know that most of those stores dont always stock the best models.
So, to recap, I am looking for:
1) Accuracy to sixty or seventy yards at least
2) Inexpensive- $80 to $100 ($125 max)
3) Shoots BBs
4) No CO2 dependency
5) Adjustable iron sights

This was my first rifle ever and Ive dug it out of the closet to play with it a bit. Looks like it was made in Feb. of 1982, due to the "02 82" stamp on the end of the receiver.
Ive looked a bit on the net and cant find any info on this rifle at all. Im just interested in basic specs for it, maybe a manual if they are available.
thanks,
Clay
