just wanted to say hullu and i hope you are all okiely dokiely . I am doin allrighty in AO tho i really do miss some of the elements that make Everquest a great game, i think that AO do miss that certain thing that makes you go woooot.
On a side note i would just like to recomend the movie Shrek, just saw it and really liked it.

Hello everyone.
As Divinity may have mentioned, I have become very sick. Just so you guys know, it is true. I am sick. I've heard everything from "Take some time, get your life together and make some lifestyle changes. Everything will be ok" to "This is a very serious condition. Potentially life threatening". I'm at a loss for words on what to say. You all have been very dear friends to me and have helped me a lot. I won't be on much, but I will try to get on from time to time.
A couple of real life friends of mine have taken it upon themselves to help me once they heard what was going on. They are making some things easier on me. And they do have access to my account. So if one of them logs on, be as kind to them as you have been to me. I'm not saying goodbye yet. Just saying that I need to take some time and see what happens.
Just so you guys do understand, this isn't very easy for me. Even now, just sitting at the computer typing, does hurt me a lot. I'm hoping everything does get better and I can be reunited with all of you again just as if nothing had happened. Fear not, for my reign of terror shall begin again and all of Norrath will bow before me in fear. Hehe .

First off pleaes read this carefully, don't just skim and jump to conclusions..
I AM NOT Leaving the Order of the Eagles nor am I leaving EQ, Nor am I stepping down as Leader.. However..
Due to so many things going on in my life right now.
I do not have the full time to devote to Eagles that I had before... and I'm just not always available.
Because of sickness of a close close friend..and the need to move REALLY soon.. (and no place found yet) My stress level is pretty high and this makes it pretty hard for me to focus.. even when I am in playing the game
So.. to that end I chose Axaze to be Co-Leader with me.
All decisions and issues are to be dealt with through him. He and I have talked about this and he knows I will available to him for assistance advice..friendship whatever.. as I will to all of you, but if you ask me and I say no, it's because I do not have time, or I am just really in need of some time to just try and get my mind off things.. please do not be upset with me.
It doesn't mean I don't care or love you all, it just means that at that moment in time.. I need to not deal with issues that might stress me.
Axaze has been with the Guild for a LONG LONG TIME.. he's been an extraordinarily (not spell checking) valuable member.. he's earned the right to lead. While there are others that may have been with the guild longer, like me..they are pretty tied up with real life and just not able to devote much time.
I hope you all understand that I need this time.. that when I sign on, it's because I need to get away from RL issues for a little bit.. and that I want to come where my friends and people who care about me as I care about them are...
Axaze you know I will be around and while I doubt you are really going to need much advice from me.. I turn the guild over to you.. to care for and tend and nurish. Thank you SO MUCH... this means a lot to me

It was only with the assurance of Divinity that she would be continuing as a member and would be my mentor/advisor that I accepted her choice to let me lead.
Things will not really change. The guild will continue to be a small group of friends. There will be no radical changes or mandates. The only real change to the guild will be that if there are problems or challenges they will be routed to me first, so to allieviate any undo stress on Div.
The other real change will be with me. I have on occation freely spoke my mind in forums pertainig to EQ. This will cease, in the methods I have taken. The last thing I wish to do is bring a spectre of a brash and crude personna to the Eagles.
I have humbly accepted Div's decision and will serve the guild honorably. I ask that anyone who has questions or needs help, ever ,contact me in game or at my email davidstarkey@home.com anytime.
Div, you know I still love you ). I hope things take a turn for the better for you and soon. Always remember this is just a game and as in real life if people dont understand then they dont need to and its time to move on. Take whatever time is needed and make sure to do all the things you are supposed to with no EQ worries, please take care of yourself.

I think i can speak on behalf of all the Eagles when I say you are welcome and encouraged to post here. OOOOga is the web man for us and is doing what he does out of the kindness of his heart-(bigger than an ogre butt). I may venture into rubi-ka sometime and it will be nice to know there is a contingent of eagles there to help me. Of course if Rubi-Ka doesn't turn out to be what you want, Norrath will always be here for ya.

I will be on vacation for the next 10 days - yippee!! so I won't be on - Boooo! . I was already invited into a guild by my brother aka wolffe/wolffette that is a bunch of EQ'ers from Cazic Thule. I think some of them are or were Eagles as well. Anyway, hopefully after I get back I can hook up with somebody somewhere as my baby fixer, lost in the big world, needs some friends
You guys notice almost no one talks in this game - I think I see about 3 shouts a night. Way different than the constant spam of EQ, or maybe my chat channels are turned off hehe.

Well, I've settled on it and I can face the EQ crowds once again. Would be nice to know what is the future of our little group, we are now down to three. I would condider making Taloc my main character otherwise, I just have more fun with the cleric over bard but that might have been the good consistant group too.
I have also been thinking about making some changes and that might involve leaving the guild. It's been a blast getting to know many of you but I am thinking about expanding my on-line experience if I get the offer and help. I will still consider myself a member if that happens and always say hi whenever we may cross paths.

Looks like Barshum already gave up his account and has moved over to AO along with what looks to be a good contingent of Eagles.
Wolfette's off on vacation and trips and stuff for the next month at least. Perhaps to come back by the end of August but perhaps not... Perhaps moving to AO as well if it stabilizes out some more.
I'm pretty much just following Barshum and Wolffette around. Don't have that great a care for EQ versus any other game. I'll be around for the next month or so at least, not sure how consistent I'll be on Wednesday nights though. Two or even three is kinda small for a group at our level.

The Newest Massivly Online Multiplayer game just came out two days ago. Anarchy-Online, its a game set in the future. The planet.. Rubi-Ka has been colonized by Omni-Tech and is being mined for a mineral called Notum ( I think ). After a while the miners revolt, so now there is Omni Tech vrs the Miners. Ive been playing for about 2 hours and im hooked, you get your own apartment, can buy cars etc.
Well since this is coming out im going to quit EQ, I know some people who have canceled their accounts and had them still be active, so if this happens to me ill still be playing EQ, otherwise I cannot afford both, AO has a monthly fee. I was wondering who else out there is planning on buying or already has Anarchy Online? Maybe we could get together and form another Order of the Eagles there. Thankyou everyone, for being in the guild, answering questions, helping with quests, hunting with me, and just being there, adding to the EQ experience =)

Hello people, I have been beta testing this game since last september and now when it has finnaly gone live I just cant stay away. And as Seerr i dont have the cash to keep both AO and EQ so i will also be leaving EQ.

Well, unless by magic you are able to actually STAY CONNECTED to this game, don't quit EQ just yet. Now, I may be a little harsh as the game just came out for the public, but this game is still a Beta. You just have to pay for it now. The zones are not up with any kind of consistancy, you can't stay connected more than five minutes a pop and there is NO, NONE, ZERO, ZILCH instructions unless you get it from those who have beta'd the game before. I am extremely disappointed. Had the game three days and still haven't put together more than 10 minutes of play time straight. Funcom.com's response to all this ? "Well, umm, we are better than EQ..yeah yeah, we are better" Umm, I started EQ from day one and I was able to PLAY the game. Anyways, if you are in the boat of really wanting a new experience, I suggest you hold off a few weeks until the REAL Anarchy online comes out and they stop cramming this overblown beta down our throats.

The lagg is indeed a problem that they have to deal with soon, otherwise i think alot of people are gonna be very upset. As of now they have at least improved the problem with zoning and i suspect also some of the problems with dropping. The game in it self is awesome tho and the possibilities with a continues story is great and it leaves lots of rooms for the GM quests (not EQ like where all the high levels come and steal the thunder). I must say that i do miss some of the elements that does EQ to such a great game, all from the tiniest little things such as holding down both mouse buttons to run to the greater quests such as the ring series in Veliuos. For now i am playing a Soldier named Chrizman and he is a wonderful person to play, looks kinda like Dumont but with an afro and a big beer belly. Basically it is a great game if you ask me, or perhaps i should say it can and i think will be a great game. Think also that it is healthy for Everquest to get some real competition in online gaming so they can improve the game even more, Luclin screens look good at least.

I havent been on much lately as you might have noticed. Of course this has been due to AO and the last weeks of beta testing. I agree with Sarayi that AO should still be considered a beta and dont buy it yet if you are short tempered or have a tendency to throw things around if you get angy. It still has great potential and rumors say that they will not charge any accounts until they have some sort of stability.
Enough about AO for now..
I really enjoyed my time as an Eagle, maybe not that much the last months. Great fun and good grouping most of the time. I have been thinking about quitting ever since Kaneda left, and thats a while ago. Just grew tired of the game thats all. Take care all and thanks for beeing my friend in the game.

Me and the former EQ players Medwurst, Dumont and Seerr are thinking about starting a guild. We have decided to join with the clans struggle against the the evil Omni-Tek skum. We will defenetly try out some PvP since much of the game is based on PvP fighting to enhance the story of the game. Also rumor says that when autumn comes the storybased guildevents will start for real and we defenetly want to get in on some of that action. not much is set allready so if you want to take part of the planning join us now.
Since AOs faction and alliance system is so great, (compared to the religions and races of Tunare server) it will also plant a seed for some serious roleplaying for those of you who enjoy that. The guild will not have any special rules or anything about that and we will probably act more or less the way we did in EQ. We just have to see what happens. Good meeting you and join the struggle for freedom now.

Well for everyone leaving EQ, good luck on your journeys through AO. But more importantly good luck in your real life and journeys here. Oxi, Dumont, Seerr, and Meddie, I will miss you guys....I know that since switching guilds I have not had a whole lot of contact with you guys, but you have had a lasting impression in my EQ days. Will do a expedition to Sirens Grotto on Saturday, hope to also find some quest items off sirens, kinda scared of the sirens in Cobalt Scar allready . also they said at the patch that they had done some changes to that zone so i really wanna check it out. Levels i guess are 40+ but i think it should be higher.

I may be taking a long break from EverQuest, possibly permanent. First be assured this has nothing to do with the guild or any of you.
I am having serious problems with my RL friends, and looking sooner and sooner to be ex-friends. I have been privy to a secret that I believe could not be kept because of hardship it has caused. Now my part taken in letting some greater deceit known is in the open and many if not all my friends are turning against me. I do not know if I can show my face in EQ, since they all play and some of the matters discovered happened in EQ. Also my attitude is suffering for the worse and I wish not drag any frustration, sadness or anger into the game and onto you. Please say hello to Kathlean, Darkkitty, Ralayn and Rosepetal for me if you see them online and tell them I am sorry
My short term decision will have been made by Wednesday. Maybe I will get over this some to log in that day at least, maybe not and maybe things will get worse before then. Where ever you (we) go is fine with me, as long as it keeps my mind away from the real world. I will not be seen or heard of until then in Norrath, maybe longer
Many of you have made me feel welcome in the guild and game where so many people in the land of Norrath have not. For that I am eternally grateful and wish to leave with that thought.
I can't seem to find the interest to log on my guys any more. I havn't played in weeks now and don't really want to anymore. I think the time has come to put this game to bed and try something new, I can't believe this thing has hooked me for over 2 years. As some of ye know, I've turned my attention away from adventurin and am lookin' at gettin' back in touch wit da stone from which us stout folk came. To lead me on my way, I've began to work da iron dat comes from da stone. Unfortunately da miners and such dat sell the ore dat I need fer my own works have too little competition, and charge too much for their wares, and I find me stash of gold dwindlin'.

For a goof I went out and explored this totaly underutilized zone on Sunday. I had a blast seeing the new stuff. There are a couple of places I would like to go back to for exp fun. The spirocs (formarly known as aviaks) and raptors are blue to Davun at 48. I hear the spirocs drop decent plat but as a ranger i wasn't even going to try a fight. The most interesting place in the zone is the firepot room. From here you can gate to every starting city in the world. SoW Lev and invis help alot to get from point to point here so you will want a ranger, shaman or druid. but as i said you really dont need a porter here because when you are done you just go to the firepots and boom your in any starting city you want.
This may be a good place for a WNG or a guild gettogether.
I will try and get back there with a healer partner and judge the dificulty and exp/loot potential.
One thing is for certain, there is absolutely no competition for spawns here.

Kaesora is a very pleasant dungeon to go to. Camping the library for the spirit tome and the ancient coin is the easiest. Doin the church and swiping Xalgoz is a little bit harder.

Seems wolffette can't make it tonight, and I had to drop the transmission outta my car last night to get it fixed today so I will be busy too. Lets take a week off and regroup next week.

I Know its little short time but i thought about it last night when i spoke to Kailean and we had trouble of deciding a time.
It is time to raid again. This time the LVL limit is 35+ so all of you that havent been on guild raid before come and join in and have a blast. The objectives for the raid is to head down to the library and destry everything in our path. Depending on how many show up we will also go to the church and kill Xalgoz and all of his minions. Hopefully we will salvage the coin that Kailean needs also.
We all meet up outside Kaesora, for those who have never been there before and have a hard time of finding it i am sure there will be people available to guide, there will most certainly be TPs available to Dreadlands too.

. I am doin allrighty in AO tho i really do miss some of the elements that make Everquest a great game, i think that AO do miss that certain thing that makes you go woooot.
