14th September, 1994, a UFO streaked across the sky over Southern Africa. Two days later, extraterrestrial crafts landed in a schoolyard in Ruwa, Zimbabwe and little men exited according to journalist Cynthia Hind. This was witnessed by 62 schoolchildren, who had little or no exposure to TV or popular press accounts of UFOs. Cynthia Hind interviewed them the day after the encounter and had them draw pictures of what they had seen. Dr John Mack, professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, was visiting Zimbabwe at the time of the event and he spent two days at Ariel School interviewing the children.

American film maker Randall Nickerson is currently visiting southern Africa to make a documentary that follows up an incident that happened at the Ariel School in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, in 1994, when 62 children aged between eight and 12 reported seeing a UFO and “strange beings” during their morning break.
Those children are now young adults scattered around the globe. Nickerson is tracking them down and interviewing them about the experience. “Their stories have not changed at all,” he says. “Not what you would expect if they had made it all up.”....
Yes, this one is absolutely fascinating report! Thanks for putting more information and links. I saw it on Russian sattelitte television "Ren TV" about two years ago. The story is so convincing, no doubt.

What weird things have you seen?
Secret government files on possible spaceship sightings have been shown for the first time.
They give details of people's reports of glimpsing aliens, seeing UFOs - unidentified flying objects - and watching odd lights in the sky.
So we wondered what weird things you've seen. Do you think you've ever seen a UFO or a ghost? Or maybe a strange-looking animal?
Or maybe you've seen a weird TV programme or film?

IT'S AN extra-terrestrial mystery worthy of an X-Files investigation.
A Melbourne filmmaker is calling on residents to unlock the secrets surrounding a UFO sighting in Clayton South 42 years ago.
More than 100 people, mostly former Westall High School (now Westall Secondary College) students who witnessed the unidentified "flying-saucer" objects from their playground on April 6, 1966, have already spoken out about what they saw.
Documentary director Rosie Jones said she was now searching for any photographic or video evidence of the flying objects and crop circles, which reportedly appeared in the Grange, an area that once bordered the school grounds. Former students Joy Clarke and Sue Savage are involved in the documentary and have vivid memories of that bright, autumn day.
"I was in science class and I remember a student came running in and said, 'Mr Greenwood, there's flying saucers near the oval'," Ms Clarke said.
"The sky was perfectly clear and I remember standing there and thinking, 'What am I seeing?'."
The women both recall three objects, one bigger than the others, hovering above the school and the Grange for about 15 minutes before they were "chased" by light aircraft.
Ms Savage said "military-type" men in uniforms showed up.
They ordered the students and teachers back inside and to "keep quiet" about what they saw.
It looked like the Roswell incident all over again.
A UFO appeared to have crashed in the grounds of a Cookridge school and its injured alien pilots were said to have been taken away.
There was wreckage just like that strewn across the ground at Roswell in America in 1947 and the crash site was taped off by police.
Word was that two strange looking beings were being treated somewhere nearby.
But, while the mystery that surrounds Roswell has never really been totally explained it gradually emerged that the Cookridge Incident was devised as a project to focus on the children's drama, ICT and writing skills........
Children at Sparhawk school in Norwich investigate the UFO
When children from an infant and nursery school discovered a UFO in their playground they conducted a month-long investigation to find out how and why it was there.
Their research was part of a cross-curricular project called Who Talks? Who Listens?, designed to develop children's key skills through questioning, speaking, listening and problem-solving and help them learn about the importance of looking after the environment.
It was funded by Creative Partnerships, a creative learning programme delivered by the annual Norfolk and Norwich arts festival.
Children aged three to seven from Sparhawk Infant and Nursery School in Sprowston, Norwich, uncovered clues and messages to solve the mystery of a strange white flashing globe.
The child-led investigation was captured in a documentary-style film with the help of local film-makers Top Box Media and actors from international theatre company Garlic Theatre.
With the help of 'Dr Jim', children discovered objects from inside the globe's secret compartment, including a crystal to represent light and the importance of the atmosphere, a piece of seaweed to represent the effect pollution has on beaches, a plastic whale, a whale sounds tape, a piece of metal with holes and a mysterious bean-shaped object.
After each discovery they were interviewed by 'Kate the reporter' to share their ideas and emotions.
The children also took part in role-play, speaking and listening and problem-solving activities.
Sparhawk head Carina Ingham said, 'The children were really excited when the UFO first arrived. The project gave them the opportunity to question and learn through talking, developing their confidence and key skills, which will help them as they move up the school'.
A screening of the film at the school on 12 May was attended by children, parents, governors, local councillors and other schools.

Film takes closer look at African UFO Sighting
By Benjamin Bell

This June, we are told, there will be space aliens in Cambridge.
The tale of these interplanetary travelers began in the fall of 1994, many time zones from the Charles River, when John E. Mack, the late Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard psychiatrist famed for his controversial UFO writings, took a trip to southern Africa.
Mack was looking into a claim by 60 elementary school children in Harare, Zimbabwe, that an oval-shaped silver spacecraft had hovered above their playground one day.
Whats more, the kids said, a strange being some 4 feet tall, dressed in a black uniform, with black eyes the size of rugby balls, approached them, while a similar being stood atop the alleged UFO.
There was talk of empathetic chit-chat, and Mack said 12 of the children gave consistent accounts of the event, leading him to believe it was not a case of mass hysteria.............
