On Tuesday this column left you with an observation that Andrew Mackinlay (Lab, Thurrock) let rip in the Commons on Monday with a heckle about being 'harassed' by MI5.
Happily the admirable Mr Mackinlay was still alive and well yesterday, able to talk coherently without any sign of mercury in his bloodstream or electrodes dangling from his undercarriage. Yet.
Indeed this pungent, brave parliamentarian - a man who has always struck me as a patriotic Briton to the very core of his gut - returned to the subject of MI5 and its interest in him. It all turns out to be rather a juicy tale............
