Matthew Wright: My life is hell - even my bed shakes as I lie in it

I am writing this at four oclock in the afternoon while the sound of a concrete-core drill next door is filling my house and my head.
The dreadful noise has been going on non-stop for the past three-and-a-half hours.
But thats nothing. Ive been assaulted by noise and vibration and assault is not too strong a word for it for more than a year.
All since my neighbour was given permission for a basement extension, making my life a living hell.....
