Try lemon grass, its excellent. Also, the seeds from the tulip tree and leaves make excellent soup.

lemon grass, ginger, garlic and tumeric with some salt.... all crushed makes an excellent rub on meat before bbq. Merinate over nite and throw on the barbie... yumm yummm!!!
