I dug this article up from my archives. Sadly, I do not have Part I, however, this part of the article is the one that deals with the important intricasies of the powerplant of these these guns. Perhaps if someone has the first part, they could post it here, and complete the information.
Doh !! (smacks self on forehead) of course........

My brain was in "pistol mode". LOL.
You'll love my other post on the Gecado (Diana) 66 rebuild. Those mainsprings can be a real chore to compress without canting them, while carefully getting all the other parts aligned and inserted - a bit like wrestling an octopus - LOL.
I have had this rifle for more than 25 years. It has the original springs, breech seal, sights, sight tools and inserts, and nearly 99% of its metal finish. The only wear is on the barrel lock lever, and that is very minor. Fortunately, the rifle was never stored on its butt so the rubber pad is still intact. The pictures do not do the stock justice, as it has some very nice fiddle-back throughout the butt. The rear dioptre is still in one of my parts containers and presently wears an Anschutz adjustable dioptre. The eyecup is the original. This rifle might have seen five thousand pellets since I bought it and I doubt that it had seen a thousand or two before I got a hold of it. In stark contrast, my Steyr FT has seen 35 to 40 thousand pellets, and it is only three and a bit years old, lol. The only non-original parts are the new piston seals but the originals lasted for more than 25 years before turning to dust. The rifle was made in April, 1969.

When you are long winded, is that a sign of Wisdom or Old Age?
In your article about scrapers, you touched on boiled linseed oil. . The stock took me better than three weeks to rub in the oil and it has not been touched ever since. It has never needed a touch-up.

With a big thank you to "karlpv" who was kind enough to send me photocopies of them, so that I could scan them in and post them for the benefit of the forum.
