Hugo finally lays his eyes on the monkey-looking girl he's been looking for: Carissa! He then offers her reconstructive surgery for free, and Carissa happily tells the news to her mom. Finally, she can live a normal life, with a normal face, loved by everyone!
Meanwhile, Rose pays a visit to theri barangay, and informs them she wants them out of her land! Of course, she was met with resistance by the people, but she doesn't give in. They put all the blame on the innocent Carissa, telling her that if it weren't for them, all those bad luck wouldn't have happened to them! Carissa offers to help, and the Kapitana threatens her to convince Rose, who is her current employer, to not touch the land. Threats await Carissa if she fails, so she decides to talk to Rose. However, Rose ends up getting mad at her in turn, and not only does she tell Carissa that she will have all the squatters removed in her land, but she ends up firing Carissa as well!
However, Hugo tells Rose that she won't lay her hands on the said land, as it is under Alicia's name. And anything that will tarnish the name of his wife isn't acceptable for him, so he ends up rebutting all of Rose's threats. Happy, Carissa and Mendez go back to Aling Azon's house. Finally, she can face Kapitana and tell her that they won't be thrown out anymore. However, a shocking incident awaits her, as she finds Aling Azon's house burning!
