The success of ABS-CBN's "Prinsesa ng Banyera" topbilled by actress Kristine Hermosa continues to lead the charge of the Kapamilya network in taking back the afternoon TV programming block.
After almost six months of airing, the tearjerker that pits Hermosa's character (Maningning, a poor girl from a fishing village who has a heart of gold) against that of actress Ara Mina (who plays worldly, sexy villain Cassandra) has gathered a solid following among television fans and viewers.
Now "Prinsesa ng Banyera" is about to take its biggest challenge which is to open the kapamilya network's newest afternoon block, "Hapontastic." The network hopes that with "Prinsesa ng Banyera" leading the way, the rest of the shows in the afternoon will find their way into viewers' hearts.
"Prinsesa ng Banyera" is a distinctly Filipino drama series that has impresed viewers with remarkable performances from its well-known stars. Furthermore, it has a tightly-knit story with unexpected twists and turns that make afternoon viewing such an engaging experience.
Hermosa and Mina are ably supporled by co-stars TJ Trinidad, Rafael Rossel, Ping Medina, Andy Guck, Allan Paule, Shamaine Buencamino, Neil Ryan Sese, Dino Imperial, Lollie Mara, and Ms. Jaclyn Jose.
"Prinsesa ng Banyera" jumpstarts ABS-CBN's Hapontastic at 3:00 p.m. after "Wowowee" and will be followed by newest Mexican telenovela "El Cuerpo del Deseo," "Hana Kimi," "Naruto" and "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus Uber."
