It’s a special day! I woke up bright and early for my daily jog. Gotta admit, I’ve been thinking about her… will she like the flowers I got? I gave specific instructions to my florist to make sure it’s the kind she liked – red, red roses that are just about to bloom… and to wrap them up in something green. Green has always been her favorite color. Though I hounded my florist on the specs I’m still anxious if she would like them. She’s the most important woman in my life.

Good thing my shooting sched was light too. It went smoothly enough, actually, better than usual, he he he. It was as if the sun, the air, and the cameras were giving me a special break…. Almost every time it’s just Take 1. Everybody was at their best. After the last take I told Direk I’m off and he threw me a knowing grin… He knew my plans for the rest of the day. He should….I’ve been telling him how this day will go for weeks prior!

Hmm. What to wear? She has always said I looked nice in blue, so I wore my good blue shirt. I’m really looking forward to seeing her tonight over dinner. There are just so many things I would like to tell her. I packed my Alterra with my best perfume, and the roses and that fruit cake she loves so much. It’s a longish drive, connect my IPOD to Alterra’s audio system with it’s enhanced 5.1 surround entertainment system – man even the songs I hate sounded really great!- and before I knew it, my cruise was over .Thanks to Alterra’s flex ride suspension system giving me a comfortable ride on the way to the restaurant.

Well, this is it. Armed with her flowers and fruitcake I marched in. The place was pretty weeded but I easily picked her from out of the crowd. There she was, radiant and beautiful as ever. She didn’t see me at first, she was chatting animatedly with my Dad. He he he. My Dad, as always, was hanging on to her every word. I snuck in behind them and I kissed her at her forehead – she was surprised! Dad and I exchanged knowing winks, he’s been in on the surprise and was as excited as I was. I sat down in the perfect spot of the table, seeing my beautiful mother lovingly read the card that went with my presents that read simply enough – “Happy Birthday Mom! Love, Your Son TJ”
