I'm sorry that you interpreted my greeting in a way that makes you think we are going to focus this site on negative aspects of the sport. We only want the best for the sport here. We will focus on both the negative and positive aspects of the sport in hopes to make it better. The only way that the sanctioning bodies know what we think about things is if we are vocal about them. Be that positive or negative. We are really trying to do good here Stephanie! The site is not fully operational yet, so please bear with us. We don't even have one article yet, and the links lists are not complete. We have a lot more in store. Don't write us off.
As far as the messageboard goes, people will post what they want to post. But Owen is here with his finger on the button, ready to delete posts that are way off the subject and don't belong here, defamatory posts, posts without valid e-mail addresses, and the childish flame wars. This board is not immune to censorship, when it comes to those things. Owen is the webmaster. If it does get out of hand, maybe we will go to a registration system if felt necessary. We are not trying to be bad guys, we just don't want any nonsense or hard feelings caused by a stupid message board. That's not good for anyone. The bottom line is that we want to have fun here, like we do when we're drag racing. Maybe we can all get our points across at the same time.
Finally, Stephanie: I don't believe I have ever had the chance to meet you since I haven't been to E-town or Maple Grove in probably five years. I am from Michigan, and my home track is Mid MI Motorplex. I usually go to Indy, Norwalk, and Route 66 once or twice a year for NMCA events, the US Nationals, or an IHRA event. If you happen to be at any of those, I hope I get a chance to meet you.
Thanks for the input, and I hope I may have answered any of your questions or doubts regarding myself and/or the digs.
