IHRA track quality

by

Dan,

Honestly, I think they vary completely in quality from one place to the next. Then again, I think the samething about NHRA tracks. It's, only in my opinion, not a function of which sanctioning body flag they fly. That's only based on what I've seen running at NHRA and IHRA tracks during weekly brackets though. I've never run on national event caliber tracks from both sanctioning bodies. You might be able to see more definite differences at that level.

Often, the throughness of the tech-in is how a track's operation is judged. If that were the criteria, I'd say it's still as much a question of region, as of sanctioning body. For a national event caliber track comparison (or the surface prep for a national event itself), you'll need a response from someone else, I can't help you there. Take care. Tom Worthington.
