Top fuel dragsters will hitt 3.99 before 2010. There will be some fatalities, and the racers and public will be screaming for changes. Possible solutions may be either shorten the track to 1000' or less, or to have top fuel and Funny car attached to a rail (I used to have a toy dragster that ran on a string)
Super classes will be 5.90 and 6.90
Racing will not require drivers. Merely crew people, sitting in AIR CONDITIONED boxes, manuvuring the race cars by computor controlled remote control. Set the car for the et desired, push the button on green (or sooner) and let it eat. MAY HAVE A BRAKE FEATURE BY 2012.
The first electric motor dragster will appear. It will wind from 0 to 125,000 RPM in .2 seconds and produce 5,000 horsepower, but weigh a scant 125 pounds
Stock will be limited to 10 years old, or newer, and all cars must be painted yellow with black stripes for ID
The first indoor dragrace, fully covered track and stands, with air exchangers and open sided, will make racing impervious to weather. EAR PROTECTION will be required.
