Seems that spinning the tires has a much bigger effect on the speeds of very high powered machines versus say a 10 or 12 second entry. A Top Fuel car, alcohol Funny Car, Top Fuel bike, etc. will see the speeds go up a fair amount if they experience some spin at say the 100, 200, 300 foot mark, etc., and then hook back up and make a full run. At least that is what I have seen over the years, and I've seen a few runs down a drag strip. - Aaron
