Split

We are all entitled to our opinion in this country Steve, at least last time I checked (better wait until after the election, that could change). Your "worst red-light" deal has always seemed silly to me. That is also the opinion of many people I know in the drag racing business (racers and officals, and I know a FEW), as we have discussed you and your ideas a few times. As far as the B & M Million Dollar race (I know the people that run it), the "splits" start way before the final from what I hear (like in the quarters). Personally I think "spliting" stinks, never did it when I was racing. I never did race for that much money though. Must admit I doubt the money would change my opinion of "splits" though. To me a racer that "splits" is admitting they cannot win. I did hear at one B & M Series event a year ago or so one racer refused to "split", and he won! Good for him! You can let the other guy have the first chance to red-light Steve, just get yourself a faster car! Drag racing has always been based off performance, so if the faster car has the advantage of letting the slower car red-light first so be it! - Aaron
