<<With the worse redlight program, racers running in handicap categories get a full countdown of one amber at the time until the green light comes on. This will happen REGARDLESS of any single or dual foul starts. Both green lights will display on each run and if there is a foul infraction, the redlight displays in that lane to indicate that the driver has been disqualified.
The redlight will not display until the timing system has determined the first and/or worse redlight infraction.>>

<<Besides, in the example you gave if the rule was worst red loses, then the driver in the faster car would have had plenty of time to see the red light and bypass the box so the car left safe.>>

Can you really react to the opponent's redlight that activated three-tenths of a second before your car left the stage indicator lights?
I assume you release the clutch when you see the third amber. If this is true and your opponent is dialed three-tenths slower and there is a .499 foul start, you should have release your clutch two-tenths of a second before your opponent's redlight displays.
With the worse redlight option if your slower opponent is .499, the redlight will not display until your reaction timer indicates (reads) .500.
If your reaction is less than .499, your redlight
will display at this time.
Hope this helps.
