Keeping the red light off until both cars have left would do the trick.
Actually I take my foot off the clutch on the first flash of yellow just like in prostock. The crossover delay box does the rest. My delay box switch is under the clutch pedal so if I should somehow conclude that I am likely to go red I can make a desperation stab at the last yellow the hard way.
