<<Hey, since no one wants to learn to race in competition, why not just make a deal where you make 5 passes, best average package of 3 runs wins????>>

What does the worse redlight option have to do with this statement?

A drag racer's primary objective is to become the overall winner of the category of competition in which his/her car is classified. This should be accomplished by two-car, tournament-style eliminations. The losing vehicle in each race is eliminated, and the winning drivers progress into succeeding rounds of competition. The series of races continues until one winning driver remains. That driver is declared the category winner.

Please explain how the worse redlight option would change any of this.
