  • Are timed throttle stops OK in that 7.00 class?

I checked out the rules on the site, and didn't see any mention of throttle stops. Are timed throttle stops specifically forbidden?

For anyone else, are timed throttle stops generally OK or generally forbidden in these local track heads up index classes? They seem to be increasing in popularity. I've seen tracks advertize 6.00, 7.20, etc. heads up start index classes in several places, but I haven't seen any mention of whether timed throttle stops are being allowed or not. Seems like it would make a huge difference in the "appearance" of the race to any potential spectators. My own local track owner likes to try different things on one Saturday a month. Today, he'll be running a low cost entry fee footbrake bracket class, an Outlaw 10.5" class, a genuine street car heads up class, a bracket class for motorcycles, and a test and tune session. He might be willing to give one of those set-index/heads-up-start classes a try, if he thought a bunch of folks would enter AND a crowd would be interested in watching them run. Thanks and take care.
