Diablo and v1.09

I've been looking around for tools that support the v1.09 patch but I can not find any.
Everything supports v1.07 only.
*Is this true?

This wouldn't be so bad, if I could use the characters I've built up in v1.09 in a downgraded v1.07 game.
*Anyone know how I can "port v1.09 characters into v1.07 game?
