it doesnt sound like a great deal of fun,no the core problem is the overhwelming power the Mage aquires which simply outclasses the other 2. Additionaly he is a ranged attacker, can just about wear the same level of ac as the other classes & even have more hitpoints.
As for Diablo II yes it sure will be interesting 2 see how the characters will be balanced,I imagine it will come down more 2 items that only the less magically inclined characters will be able 2 use since Magic will always be more advantageous in 80% ( or more ) situations.Pure specualtion, not one of my strong points =)
