If you just crash or disconnect during a B-net game or whatever, nothing will happen to your char. Remember, your char is always constantly saved so nothing bad can really happen to it. There are progs that 'restore' the char from a certain point, but those are only of use for the people that want to be able to get their stuff back easily if they die. Such programs are commonly known as Cheats. Don't use them.
