apoc rarity and thalns warpby Ariochi have a lev 42 mage and i have found 2 or 3 thaln's warps u just have to be in the right place at the right time and as for apoc books... found 4 of those so far i am maxed so i have given the last 2 away the hard thing to find in this game is a weapon that is suitable for a warrior to attempt hell alone i have yet to see sifu's of haste on anything and the best weapon that i have found are a kings claymore of speed and a sifu's maul if the athanki both good weapons but the maul is to slow and the sword does to little dammage in my opinion once u get apoc as a spell as a mage the game becomes to easy i use my mage to shop for items for my warrior and rogue see yall around |
tidbits...by PSYit IS possible 4 Wirt to sell SIfu/Haste (i bought a bastardsifu/haste from him) but for Damage... Kings Ancient Mace of speed/haste is the best.... I found 2 Thalans, gave one away, and have never seen a apoc book....oh well, i am just unlucky PSY |

I've seen some posts about apoc's rarity...by...but I've found 3 or 4. I usually give them away to the people in the game with me though. I only needed one, and I got it along with ether when v2+ didn't exist,and just maxed both with enchanted shrines. I felt a little of the persecution that Vagnard did when I told someone in Black Lodge that I had max apoc. Kaylea, her name was, and ignorantly she said that I didn't know crap about abysmal. A question: what is Thalan's Warp? It's been so long since I've played abysmal (L47 mage is bit boring after a while) that I don't remember (and I haven't found it either). |

Mage-Support .by wtI have a clvl 29 Mage and it was possible to manage N/H alone (CL + FB slvl 6). I m not sure what stuff i should wear. In normal diablo it is possible to play nearly with no amor in H/H (ac < 100). in abys i think this is not posible because some monsters are quite fast. So what is a quite good stuff for a mage ? please an example: stuff, ac, mana ! (255 magic) Is it good to have 115 strength to weare a full plate, i dont want to play a tank mage ? is the stormshield good ? (i found a shield with ac 52 +15 to all, think thats better) Is fastblock usefull ? Does the 'everyone' stuff helps u ? whats with the spell increasing ? Now ich play with ac180 and 71 strength. Is this ok vor N/C, N/H ? THX |
Play to your style...by VagnardI use Zealoth Mail, Thinking Cap, Arch-Shield, 2 Nibelunges Rings, Pendant of Valar and Dreamflange. That gives me a max slvl of 28 (29 if I ever find The Shaman) for TONS of damage. But it also gives me an AC10 and +45 damage taken from enemies. Which means I use teleport a lot to keep out of close combat. Should I be caught by an ass master or similar fast moving fast attacking demon I'd be screwed with stun lock. My answer is that you should play to whatever you like best. If you like tank mages go with divine full plate of magery and a battleshield or a similar combination. If you like to deal massive amounts of damage but have to run around a lot, go with something similar to what I use. But whatever you should choose, make sure your resistances are high or you'll spend most of your time on the ground. Vagnard |

A bug in the game,(maybe)by Kali-LokiToday, i was clearing the caves, and I kille a unique, and he dropped a unique ring, i assumed it would be a ring of ulmo or engangemet, probably not a nibs ring. Well, I identified it and it was "THE Ring of Deathbringing" when i moved the cursor over it, it said "Butchers Cleaver" it had unusual item damage and +50 to str. I think this may be a bug. I saved it as an .itm file then sold it, for 1 gold... |

I keep on getting killed on level 1 with my mage.. its impossible one arrow and i'm dead. how do you do it!!! P.S. some tips..by PSY1. first of all, spend that money u got at the beginning on a mana potion:) 2. NEVER shoot blindly, make sure EVERY hit counts, and use ur charged bolt staff sparingly, since its ur only room-clearer 3. DO NOT EVER open barrels or chests at low levels (10 hp isnt a lot) 4. pump ALL points into magic (more mana = more spells = less potions = save $$$ for books) 5. accumulate 16000 gold ASAP and keep joining games until u find a MS book. 6. after that, u shouldnt have a prob:) PSY |

I agreeby Milamber~POLI agree the mod is much harder at the beginning than the Original Diablo. I lost 3 mages before I finally got my present mage to lvl 10. I ran out of cash, mana, and charges and that was about the end of me. Finally I got lucky and found a couple of holy bolt staves. I was able to use those and save my money for books and mana pots. It has taken me a while but I can clear down to dlvl 4 now  Enjoy. I think the Rouge is much easier to start than the mage. You might try her out and learn the monsters. (all who responded below read this)-longby Vagnard/MalahkYes, I have found 2 books of apoc...and one is up for trade, the other was obviously used (one and some enchanted shrines is all I need). No, I do not cheat...feel free to ask any I game/gamed with (sea[n], Toke'n~abys, magekbc(abys), polarbear, nightseve...and others I can't remember at the moment. Why is it that whenever anyone has any good luck everyone points their finger and screams "cheater"? You guys are almost as bad as the cheaters...I come in here with a legit trade and because I have good items you jump all over me. Do you have some inadequacy problem? Do you feel upset when others find what you can't. I've never been able to find a Dreadful King...does that mean I should call anyone who has one or more a cheater? I think not! Think about that before you call someone a cheater again. I play 7-8 hell/hell games a night with Toke'n and sea[n](we're all mages so it's quick and easy...i.e. I'm not lifelined into the game)...that's how I get good items. Try playing a little instead of bitching so much...you'll find more items that way. If you don't want to trade, I'll keep my items...fine by me...but don't call ME a cheater. As for the person who said I was either a cheater or a loser...who the hell are you to call me a loser?!...you spend your time in the online forum for the obscure mod of an outdated game (no offense to the other forum goers...I obviously spend time here too)... oh and about megadropby PSYapprantly its a hack that makes EVERY kill drops a LEGIT(legit as in no different from other legit items) magical item (ouch), so there is no way to find out if someone actually use this (the items generates are obviously not legit, but it will appear as LEGIT) its one of the more nasty hacks sinces there is no way of tracing or finding if someone uses it (unless he use it on bnet) PSY |

This game just gets stranger and strangerby zanto~abysWell once again i am here to bitch about the game thats why most of you know me as cry baby! i found the judgment bow gezzzzzzzz.... o no not a sword no not a shield but the bow after i ided the bow i sold it just becouse it pissed me off i habe a falshion sufis sword now from wirt what junk i have gone to wirt over 321 times and i have bought two sufis swords from him one was a two handed and the other was this little worth less falshion i have a strange basterd sword of haste i use . ? is it the mages that get the sword and the good shields or am i just crazy becouse it sure as hell is not the warror that get them . and the bow was not droped by diablo by the by it was droped by the mage on 16 the unique mage my kingdom for a real sword. i should not bitch to much i do have a really good plate and super rings though one is 54 to hit and the other is 56 to hit that is chance to hit and there both whale and the emrald amulit of the gods ant badso i do have over 350 chance to hit and a ac of only 297. well now that thats off my chest yours in game play zanto~abys aka just~aother~elf |
hmmmmmmmmmmm?by PSYJ bow off AMir? now.. thats just plain impossible due to the way the game generates items (AMir is mlevel 32 so he will drop anything up to qlevel 36 coz hes a boss with the + 4 bonus) and J bow is qlevel 50!! i am suspecting the guys u played with in that game hacked so the monster levels are raised... coz according to jarulf's guide (pretty much a bible about diablo's programming), its plain impossible only guy who can drop ultimates is diablo (he is mlevel 48 so max qlevel is 52) PSY |
