Diablo 2 ..by zanto-abysHi yas all . to start on May 24 of 2000 i started looking to upgrade my computer becouse it was said that Diablo 2 would take at min a pen 233 and 64 megs of ram to play on line. and me with a pen 200 was not to be left out!.. Soo i started looking for a bigger and better computer..I looked at ..IBM...NEC..COMPACT..HP PAC BELL... and came to the conclution that the best computer that i could find would have to be built...ALL FOR DIABLO 2..mind you..i was still playing .ABYSMAL.. but i thought once diablo 2 comes out ..move over abysmal...to get back to it I had it built a AMDk6 3 no not a k62 a k63its a AMD k63 550 with VOODOO 4000 VIDIO CARD 128 ram twin 25 gig hard drives and all the rest .. well the day came i got a phone call for the store ...YOU COPY OF DIABLO 2S HERE that was june 28 .. after I got home and had the box open before the car had stoped my heart pounding i ran ..not walked to the computer opened my 52 x cdrom put the first or three cds inand started to install the game...it went fast .. yippy skippy... i ran the test and it said 3d glidor what ever was the best setting ok okoko what ever ..lets play ..I started my Internet connection thinking ooooo yaaaaa d2 here i comei came to the point were it said pick east west so living in Oregon i thought to my self for 1.1 secounds ahhh i will pick west duuuuuuu. i made my player and came to the first chat room within 2 sec i have hit .... ./trading post and was there i found so not alot had the game so i made a open game named..........abysmal...thinking that any abysmal players seeing that would join i started the game..no one came for 5 hours at all. i thought well i am a level 12 paladen now maybe there are others in traing post that played diablo 2 ??? well i was wrongto make a long story short i have been abel to play on line 5 times in a game is all i was pked in the last gameand the game is just not that much funi have five single played winza-elf is level 52 the game is just not what i thought it was goning to be and when i went to play Abysmal i could not ...BLIZZARD ..had made a patch so no more online abysmal ..it was the only place that i could play with out being pked all the time sure there were some.. not many cheaters one or two.and maybe one pk in abysmal..but the ,,game the game was the most fun i had had in one hell of a long time .i came back to the home page of abysmal to find it gone ..:(well i found it again tom i know you said that it would take alot from you to make a upgraded vertion to be able to playe on line again..just keep it in mind that there are over 1000 abysmal players out there that would do anything at all to make you change you mind..like helping you with the programing money?? yeas even moneyi for one have the last to offer write me at unie@harborside.com i will do what ever it take .. yours in abysmal zanto-abys..aka just-aother-elf |
i remember the good old days when we could play Abysby MokunTybolt i agree, D2 was fun when i got it but doesn't seem as fun as Diablo Abys. The story line is really the only thing that i like about it and having beaten it i find it rather boring. Thank youbyIm glad that one of you agrees with me that D2 isnt that great....Once you beat it the game lacks the same playability(if thats a word)that Diablo had....I am on Diablo as of now even if its just Reg Diablo but I would like to see a patch for abysmal, the mod is great and none of you can tell me that its not. There are alot of us abysmal people who want to play the great mod but cant so why wont someone take the time to help finish it? D2 just sucks...sure its good one time around but after you beat it, its just not as good but as for abysmal I came back to it all the time. But I agree that if anyone is going to make a patch they need to make it before 1.09 comes out...I mean its blizzard im sure they will patch Diablo yet again even if it is pointless. Just a thoughtby AnonymousHave any of you ever considered learning how to do a little bit of modmaking and created the Abysmal mod for 1.08 yourself? You are all begging for it, when you don't even think about doing it yourself. All you would have to do was look at the Abysmal.exe and change the Diablo 1.08 exe accordingly once you learn how to create Mods of you own. Check out http://retribution.igg.net it has a Modmaking workshop and a good modmaker. |

Its just not a matter of changing this and changing that you have to rewrite everything so it works for 1.08 My friend and I tried making a mod but got fed up with it because it isnt as easy as you think. Take the timebyAs a fan of Abysmal Diablo I must say not making the 1.08 patch kind of ticked me off. I dont like D2 that much because it isnt that great.. Lag reasons and other bugs in the game that have happened to me over and over. Ive lost multiple chars to D2 and frankly im sick of it. Ive already beaten and it dosnt seem to have the same playability that Diablo had in my oppinion. I would much rather play Abysmal Diablo but was stoped when I couldnt get on bnet to play it. Alot of people have gone to D2 now but alot of us dont like it or have it for that matter. Ive met alot of people who would rather play Diablo then D2. So why not make the patch for Abysmal? D2 just isnt any good. Alot of us would be very happy with a patch for Abysmal Diablo. If anyone could make the patch it would make not only myself but alot of others happy as well. Keep in mind that not everyones comp can run D2 either. I am not whining or anything I just like Abysmal over D2. Then again I also have EQ as well....anyways thank you all for you time and I hope someone has kind heart and will make the patch for us Abysmal lovers. Tybolt |

Hellfire MODS / Diablo 2byI was going to work on a Diablo 2 MOD but does anyone know any of the HEX values/codes? I have tried a few things, but they don't seem to do anything. Also ... do people still play Orig. Diablo Mods? and Hellfire Mods? ... I had started to make a good Hellfire Mod, but D2 was coming out soon, so I stopped at my beta version, which I thought came out VERY good for a beta start. Diablo II does not use Hex for moddingby ExcaliburTo create a mod for Diablo II you need to extract the .txt files in the D2_data.mpq, edit them, and put them back in. I believe the files you need are in data\global\excel\ (You should use Excel to edit the files.) |
