had a 24 horse flat head engine . not unattractive . I can see how a guy with a 2.3 and webers could get about a million mpg with one .

I suppose I could just drop a 2.0 Duratec into my Midget.

But I wanna do that to a Super Seven clone.

Anyways, after weighing a number of available Foci, I decided on the low-cost option of a 2001 SE wagon with 89K and auto trans. I really wanted a five speed, but at $2900 this one hit enough right buttons. It will be my commuter, as I have handed my 2007 Focus wagon to the Ms. after she told me she had finally had enough of the 1990 Colony Park.

So, the Gold 2001 Focus SE wagon with Zetec 2.0 becomes car #6. I really need to sell something.

I wish I could

That is the shit, and like the seller I would commute in it from time to time. I'd leave it as it is. I'm saving my one remaining Cleveland and Toploader for some future Ranchero. Got to sell some other stuff first.

Tom, over on the FE forum....

There is a thread regarding building a 5.0 strictly for commuting, a e-85 high compression low rpm cruiser. I think it would be a cool build.

What it has to do with FE's? same as it does here on a 351c forum. but this is the bench and you need a commuter car.

Well, I guess to sum it up, you could say, there's three reasons why there's so little crime in Mayberry. There's Andy, and there's me, and [patting gun] baby makes three.
