Taking off

fitness88 is right about the carriers. The AUTO park mode is on in Single Player.

You will get comms from Friendly towers when you are within about 10-15 nm of the airfield for Landing Clearance.

Don't worry about Takeoff/Taxi clearance. It isnt really modelled. After landing at an airbase, just turn around and launch.
