So far, I use the 55xxx radar as my primary EW radar with great results. Not sure what the difference sim-wise is between that and the Tin Shield.
RE: Your analogy, I would consider the Captain of this ship to be the AAW Chief, sitting at a SOC way behind the FEBA...but just my opinion. I agree with Recluse, from his book quote and from what Elf has said, that the CRCs and SOCs should be the hubs of the network. But only Elf will have the definitive answer!
