The way I understand TALD deployment, they're used to draw the attention of the radar/SAM sites. If you're flying into the "hornet's nest" it would seem to be counterproductive to release TALDs yourself. Wouldn't that just draw MORE attention to your location?
If you're interested another test, send in a flight of S-3B's on the east side to drop TALDs ... you try ingressing a few minutes later from the west side. Then report your findings of SAM activity THEN ... I'm very interested.
Oh, the S-3Bs only release two TALDs each, so you may want to send more planes - I usually use 3-4, seeding from about 20,000 to allow for the glide paths.
