Just got into Sleater-Kinney this year, when I bought DIG ME OUT on the strength of the title track. Was amazed at the strength of this awesome record! This quickly led to me playing catch-up, by getting THE HOT ROCK, CALL THE DOCTOR, and the new AHOTBO. What a kick-ass band! The last time I got so into a band (and in the process tried to get everyone else to give them a listen) was with the band AIR. There's so many great songs that if I had to choose what I'd like to hear in concert it would probably be THE DRAMA YOU'VE BEEN CRAVING, THE PROFESSIONAL, IRONCLAD, and DANCE SONG 97. But that LEAVE YOU BEHIND is so damn pretty!!
I got tickets and I'm seeing them Wednesday at the El Rey in LA, and I hope to get them to sign some stuff for me. (I'm actually going to miss going to Game 1 of the NBA Finals for them. You should've seen some of the looks I got from some of my friends at work. "You're skipping the Lakers for Sleater-Who?")
