Until Then....Critique

by

Hi Sue and everyone. Sorry I have been a "noncontributor" of late. Lots of "stuff" been hapening. Anyway, some condensing suggestions below. Think this has potential.....Greg

I could tell (delete-that) we were over.
I could tell our end was near.
(delete-It) wasn't (delete-in) what you were saying.
It was (delete-in) what I didn't hear.

Remember when our love was deeper,
than {the} oceans dark abyss.
How'd we end up in unknown waters?
**Now we're in unknown waters
How did our love end up like this?

Chorus:

{Now} I'm searching for some answers.
(delete-I'm) looking for that guiding light.
When all I want to do down in my heart
**When deep inside my heart
is be with you holding you tight.
**I'm still holding you so tight

I hope I'll soon wake from this night mare
**Hoping I'll wake from this nightmare
and see your smiling face again.
(delete-For now) {But} I'll keep this old flame burning.
...... Until then.

VII

There's a buzzing (delete-sound) inside my head
**although not sure about buzzing....maybe "vision"?
(delete-and) darkness has filled the room.
(delete-I'm) trying to get where I'm going.
(delete-I) hop{ing} (delete-that) I can get there soon.

As my eyes open to a new day.
**Waking to face a new day
(delete-All) through the night {I} dream{ed} of you.
{See} you smiling in the doorway.
(delete-I) hear you say I love you too.

Chorus:

(delete-Theres) no more searching for some answers.
(delete-I've) woke up to my guiding light.
(delete-As) you walk over {and} lay next to me
all I {want} is {to} hold you tight.

(delete-I'm) {So} glad I woke (delete-up) from that nightmare.
To see your smiling face again.
(delete-You know) I'll love you till forever ends.
..... Until then.
