Sounds like home. Everything you've written here is available here in Hawaii. If you live here full time, it can be close at hand, but you can be too busy to take advantage of it.
Weather report from Honolulu? 15-30 in Trade Winds, rained this morning. Cloudy, with enough waves to keep most everyone but the surfers out of the water. Temperature somewhere between 75 and 85 degrees. Water is skin warm down to 100 feet--don't even need a wet suit.
Question: What is a parrothead? Does it refer to the bird, or to local musicians? Unfamiliar term in these islands, at least in my circles.
