Musics not a thing to fear-
So listen with an open ear-
What you like is your own choice-
Please dont try to be my voice-
These are a few lines I wrote years ago in a poem
when I listened to a lot of Ozzy Osborn--
Ozzy was persecuted for lyrics he wrote in a
song called suicide sollution--Parents claimed
a couple kids commited suicide after listening
to the lyrics of this song--Anyone who knows
the story also knows that the ironic twist is
that the song was actually about his good friend
Bon Scott dying an alcohol indueced death--
ie=slow suicide-not commiting suicide--
If your lyrics arent to the point-they may be
missinterpeted--Or maybe you made your point--
If this is the case--Im not going to put the song
down--In the right market I suppose it may do well
I mean people like Marilyn Manson! But posting
your song here is like trying to sell Manson
on a country station-Sometimes I have a tendency of writing about the greyer side of life but I
draw the line about what I post here what I save
for other styles of posting boards--And pretty
much everything Ive ever posted here was accepted
with open arms-some good critique,some bad-
But I havent pissed anyone off--If you need
somewhere to post your style--E-mail me and
Ill send you a few sites where youll have more
positive replies--The people here are pretty cool
folks-Im sure if you looked at some of the songs
that are posted here,You have the talent to write
something in your style that if worded and
structured right may even be a hit-
It would be interesting to see what you could do-
Kind of a challenge--Aint it--
