Censorship

I did not like "Selling Faith" as a song. Then again there have been other songs posted here that I did not like. Also, I didn't really like the theme.
BUT to paraphrase a famous American: "I may not agree with what you say but I defend your right to say it.
As some have mentioned, this is Shayne's board..and we all appreciate the work that he has done. Nevertheless there is a responsibility that comes with "owning" a group: ie. to determine what is right and what goes over the line. A tough task in a group like this where the main focus is on expressing your thoughts. IMO part of this responsibility is to make decisions not on what the owner thinks but rather on if something "crosses" the line.
IMO the censored lyrics did not cross the line.

Let me put out a "what if" or two: As a Canadian what if I wrote a really scathing no holds barred anti-American song?...Or what if it were written by someone from an eastern European country?...Or written by an American?....

"What If" I were the group owner and a pacifist and someone wrote a song glorifying soldiers and bloody war?

Or "What if" someone posted a dark relegious song and offended my Christian befiefs and sentiments?

Again, I do agree there are times when things can go over the line and at these times action (deletion) is justified. I do not think that this was one of these occassions.
