Because there are so many non married relationships out ther now the trend is to leave this element open.
Also of course, and in all genre is the artist image that I guess is still aimed at making them appear accessable to their fans. Don't know if they still hide the fact they are married but don't think the younger ones at least advertise the fact.
Don't think the double negative is restricted to country. is used a lot in blues and rock. jazz too.
Even the yarn about singing country backwards making your troubles all disappear was originaly a blues joke.
