Before I got a keyboard my demo bloke and I worked it that I recorded the melody on guitar and wrote in what chord progression I figured.
He made the backing then did the melody so it wasn't my halting playing.
When I went to put him on the credits he said that was part of the demo service.
Where he came up with the chord progression and part of the tune on one we shared credits.
Now I do all the backing on keyboard and he improvises any lead work in the demo deal.
This is way different to writing the music for me as part of the deal.
I would say for a $75 deal you are offering way too much.
I know it is pretty easy to bang out a backing on keyboard but it is not easy to bang out one that is fresh and innovative.
So I would expect to share credit on a deal Like you are offering.
I think we should get credit for anything we actually create.
