More on this...

When I decided to start my demo service, I asked myself--What (besides quality) will be my selling point? The first thing that popped in my head was cost. As a songwriter myself, I know most unsigned songwriters are far from rich...and I've seen demo prices from studios found on the Internet to be anywhere from $50 to $600. So I decided upon the lowest price I could charge without breaking someone's bank account and still make it worth my time. That's where the $50 amount came from.

I still wanted to keep the price under $100 to compose music for a lyricist and record a full band demo with vocal, while giving them the added bonus of 100% rights to both words and music. $75 seemed like a fair price at the time, although, this discussion is making me start to think I should charge at least $100, since I could potentially lose thousands, should the song become a hit.

Most importantly, I'm out to help the songwriter.
