I have to agree with Graham on this one, Suzie! The Redneck Character, while he's sympahetic, isn't exactly "Elevated" to some kind of "Taming the Wilderness Icon" or "Bastion of Living the Simple Life" he perhaps Ought to be...so his Passing ends up being "So What" in the Listener's Mind.
His Once-Existence moved you to write a Song about it...Maybe write about the Joys he's Losin' on that Last Day.
