Hi Anthony. It sounds to me like you didn't get very good critiques about this one. I didn't actually read any of the critiques, but that's the impression I got judging by the response titles and what you said in "In Jail for the Night".
I have a hunch that this song really makes sense to you in some way or another. I think that you understand the connection between this guy and bigfoot, but I don't think the average person would.
My take on the song is that you're trying to describe this guy as being a person with a bad reputation that really doesn't deserve it... this woman who is singing the song knows that he's not as bad of guy as everyone says he is... his actions in public have really given him a bad reputation, but deep-down he's not a bad guy. And you're trying to compare this guy and his reputation to the story of bigfoot: feared creature of the woods that has never really done anything wrong (except for killing a few dogs, maybe). Anyway, that was my interpretation of the song.
At any rate, making the connection between this guy and bigfoot understandable would be very difficult, I think. On the other hand (and I've said this many times before) your lyrics don't always need to understandable right down to the line or word.
That's my 2 cents.
