I like them light-hearted...

Stan,

I do believe a mix of sex and humor is my favorite lyrical "drink". This one just hits the spot. You've also written in one of my favorite patterns--the AAB CCB. Very tight and keeps on moving.

My favorite lines--

Thank you for the inspiration
For these beads of perspiration
Running down my chest.

(Great three syllable rhymes on those first two lines. That is quality work!)

Also--

Flowers wilting on the table,
(I would too, but I'm not able)
Baby you are so darn hot!

(The subtle, suggestive, and slyly humorous imagery there is a choice bit of writing.)

I wonder how many varied combinations of emotions accompanying sex might be plotted out and explored lyrically?

Sex/Humor
Sex/Romance
Sex/Anger
Sex/Fear
Sex/Love
Sex/Bashfulness
Sex/Seduction
Sex/Manipulation
Sex/Frustration
Sex/Sorrow
Sex/Guilt
Sex/Joy
Sex/Grief
Sex/Confidence
Sex/Etc.

One thing is certain, making love is a universal mixer that can "heat up" whatever else is going on in a relationship or a lyric.

Another keeper. Keep writing!

Skip
