This is a nice tight story. I was a little skeptical of Paddy dying from a whipping, but I suppose it is possible.
This makes me want to ask if this is a true story of Australian history? Next question, how is it that because of Paddy and Molly that the rest are free? It's just that I don't know much about Australian history, except that it once was a place that criminals were exiled to. By the way, I love the joke you prefaced this one with.
You have a nice lyric here that is just a little unclear because of my ignorance. But it makes me curious.
