I won't say too much about this song, since it's already "in the can", except to say that it works fairly well. I'd rather read "my whole life" than the more formal-sounding "a lifetime", but that's just me. And two "say"s in the first two lines of the chorus seems repetitive, but besides that, this is a winner! I especially like that twist in the end.
