Very interesting piece JR.
I printed it out to remind myself sometimes.
I have always had them make me a backing only track mainly because I have more lyrics than music in me and se songwriting a bit like designing something.
One combination of parts don'et work, try another configeration.
Spin off has been when after listening to a song I thought was as god as it was going to get for a time, I hear something that bugs me and work a change in.
Here the masters have always belonged to the artist as far as I know.
But Then I don't know what happens when you are signed to a label so maybe that is what you were refering to.
