he can have that time - and you can also.
I think it is deceiving when you don't have a typical introvert or extrovert. I am an extrovert, yet I need quiet alone time in the bathtub preferrably to unwind. Granted when I am upset or have had a great day, it is almost like it didn't happen until I tell someone. But writing has lessened the need to TALK constantly...in school I kept a daily journal and wrote poetry, so my extrovert temperament was VERY balanced and I rarely got caught up in the bad energy of the extrovert tendancies...but as I left writing for awhile, there was a shift into a needy extrovert which needed outside confirmation. Glad to be back on the light side of that trait.
My kids are social introverts...they love being with people and converse easily witha variety of people. But when we get home, it is straight into the sand box (yes I have one inside!) or into the tub or some other tactile relaxation. As J grows she is using Vivaldi more than she used to - she was always so aural in her winding down. I am hoping we grow into that with E. it is MUCH easier than cleaning up the mess after the sand trip!
We use all sorts of recharging activities depending on the situation, but water seems to work the best overall.
