My Paulownia Tree Wont Grow

Response to Paulinia Tree (Empress)

Dear Barbara,

If you bought your Paulownia tree through some magazine or some mail order instead form the grower is where your problem started.

Paulownia trees will grow an average of 16' per year (depending on some variables) as long as they are planted in a sandy loam soil. They will not grow as stated in black land or a clay base soil. The people you orderd your tree from probably neglected to tell you this.

I bought mine from the original grower in Georgia. They sent me the trees, a special fertilizer tablet and complete instructions.

The first season mine grew to twelve feet in three growing seasons mine grew to forty feet.

Hope you find the above information helpful.

Blessings, Jerry
