I have a beautiful 25year=+ Laceleaf Japanese maple. My questione is --Are the branches suppose to touch the ground. Mine is just a huge mound right to the ground. I see others that are pruned about one foot off the ground. Is that the correct way?

A signed copy of my book, "Easy Plant Propagation" is a great gift idea!
